Swede wedges / chips / roasties are a great substitute for potato ones. I love them and those you’ve made look great. Of course if you don’t like swede or expect them to taste like spuds (ie of not much) then they’re no good. I treat celeriac the same way too - lovely!

Megan I didn't follow any specific recipe so you can add more or less stuff if you need less calories. It has 200g lean beef few mushrooms, few cauliflowers florets, tinned peas, one courgette and 2 spoons of hot curry powder and spices to taste - no salt a bit of water, et voila :) Swede has only 30 kcal per 100g and i made these of 200g of swede, first part boil them the sprinkle paprika and cayenne pepper to taste and to give them some colour and grill for 10-15 min It was very filling and very tasty! I didnt finish it all! If you need less calories you can swap beef for chicken very easy and no preservatives or hidden sugar. I make nearly all of my dinners from scratch as i want to eat healthy as well as control calories xx

Ahh tbh I am so used to making curries with yoghurt or cream I didn't think of trying without them things but I think the idea is great thank you for sharing it smile ☺ and I couldn't agree more with you when you make it yourself you seem to get much more for your calories as well I think 🤔 and at least you can be 100% sure the exact calorie amount! 😅 Well this looks absolutely beautiful and from your recipe it sounds so yummy 😋 thank you for sharing it 😊xx

Nice response, Di. Too many trolls appearing these days with hidden profiles, criticising people and foods.

how many calories please ? if 200 g beef, looks like 150g potatoes, so 700 cal?
