Went to the gym this morning and pumped some iron! 💪💪💪 going to try something a lill different. I’m eating breakfast now and then I’ll fast till 6:30pm when I have dinner. That way I eat some protein after working out 👍

I do it a little different but I think it works either way. I feed well in the morning and then in an hour I start my workouts. I don't eat heavy at night so I think I have less in the tank to fuel my workout.

Not enjoying this at all! Started feeling hungry at 10am starving by 2 and the hunger pains aren’t subsiding. Doesn’t make a lot of since. Don’t know why eating food in the am made me so much hungrier than normal. I usually go 18 hours without food (8pm-2pm). I work from 8-4 with an hour comute so I’m gonna be hungry for a while 😢

I am the same way. Once I break a fast, it is all downhill from there.

@CrashtestDawnie, @Officially39 - Yeah there would be now way for me to eat in the morning and then fast the rest of the day. I can only fast because I went to bed at 9:00pm the night before and woke up at 4:30am. So I need like 12 hours ASLEEP (and presumably not eating) to actually fast :) - This is why I can go days without eating. Once I get past the 'blood sugar spike' from the last meal I actually never get 'hungry'. Yes I want to 'eat', but it is 'eating' that causes 'true physical hunger' in me at least...

well you did work out right?? eggs don't tend to last long for me, I need more calories to fuel the day.

That is true Baskington. Eggs (with pepperoni and cheddar cheese) aren’t very filling for me either. I’m full after eating but it doesn’t last long. But Adef makes a good point. Fasting through the night, makes fasting through the day easier. And before dieting, I’d be hungry at 10a even if I ate an hour before 😒

I eat a big steak and lots of extra fat and that fuels me all day. I eat liter at night so I really need that fuel especially since a lot of times I don't have enough calories the night before. otherwise I can't get my calories in for the day. But you have to do what works for your body clock, I just was worried as you were so lite headed a day or two ago and you don't seem to eat much.

now here is an idea, how about some breakfast/lunch bombs?? I recently found pork bellies at the local supermarket, had to ask to find it, but it is just about pure pork fat. Best flavor, you could use that instead of bacon to add some serious fat to just about any breakfast or lunch bomb. That way you would have something quick if you did need something to eat. Put some kind of protein with it. cheaper than bacon and more fat too. I can't eat the bacon so I was looking for a safe alternative.

Hmm I’ve never tried making any savory fat bombs. I’ll look into that. But I think I’m going to have to force myself to work out on the weekends. It will be much easier to make that work. I just figured since I was up so early I’d take advantage of an almost empty gym 🤷‍♀️

When I am on a fast I drink a scoop of protein shake in heavy cream (I like it with hot water) to give me 'energy' for my workout. Only 2 net carbs.

I tried putting protein powder in coffee 1 time but it didn’t want to mix and was super weird. That was a long time ago. I don’t remember what brand it was.
