I had a major NSV today, 12 weeks ago I started a weight training program. I've been very sedentary over the past couple of years and decided to add in a program to accompany the weight loss. On day 1 I was lucky if I could complete 6 push-ups and 10 inverted rows. At the 4 week point in the program he tests you to see if you are strong enough to move onto week 5, the test is something called the 400 challenge, where you have to complete, in any order, 10 at a time, etc, 100 push-ups, 100 body weight squats, 100 inverted rows and 100 sit-ups, all in under 17 minutes. Needless to say I failed at my first attempt, miserably. So instead of moving onto week 5, I went back to week 1. At week 8 I attempted the 400 challenge again, while improving a lot I still failed. Week 1 all over again.
Today was the beginning of week 12 and I attempted and passed the 400 challenge! So week 5 here I come, I guess persistence and hard work really does pay off! For all of you who are doubting if you can stick to a diet or change your lifestyle to lose weight, you can, it does require hard work and dedication but you can do it. I had doubts about completing my challenge but envisioned myself doing it, it took a while, but it did happen. Now onto the next challenge, week 5!!!!!!
