I had a little treat (non caloric) In my line of work and location.. i have dealt with several celebrities along the way...some are customers with accounts in my shop. I rarely allow myself to get awestruck by them because it is my humble opinion that they have the right to just be. a shopper.. or client..when they come in.
Saturday night...one of my favorite artist was in concert at the Ryman Auditorium(my Favorite local venue).. I couldn't go because of a combination of finances and the fact I had a large event first thing Sunday morning. Imogen Heap is the artist name...and she is just sooo creative and writes beautiful songs.. just makes my heart happy. I have followed her on twitter..and facebook and on youtube... her craft just speaks to my soul. THAT SAID, i took it upon myself to send her a small bouquet of gerber daisies (her fav-i guess i am a stalker) thanking her for sharing her art with us and to break a leg. I sent her a direct message via twitter to let her know to look for them and looooow and behold this morning I had a direct msg back thanking me for the flowers! Too cool for school!
THEN.. one of my employees ended up going to see her..(long story short/her brother is a recording artist) she ended up backstage.. saw the flowers...and Cari Ann handed me her ticket this morning with a handwritten thank you note from Immi (sigh) all smiles and a couple of giggles just had to share somewhere!!
