What was I thinking? I signed up for a twelve (12!!) hour ruck march on 10/19/19 to raise funds for Carry the Fallen, a veterans suicide awareness and prevention program. I usually walk about 5 miles a day, but since the event is only three weeks away, I thought I should probably up my training/preparation. Yesterday I walked over 15 miles in 6 hours. For some of you, that would be no big deal, but for me, that was a long time and a lot of steps!! Last night I was super achy, but surprisingly, this morning I feel pretty good.
