It's been awhile since I've journaled, so I thought I would write one today :)
Still unemployed, unfortunately. Have 2 interviews this week, though, which is good. I got to volunteer at the boy scout camp my husband runs for the past two weeks. I had a great time. I did a lot of manual labor (putting up and taking down tents, cleaning, building stuff) and taught snorkeling haha. Sounds stupid to be teaching snorkeling, but the kids enjoy it and I got lots of exercise because I basically was treading water all day lol.
Finally back at home. I need to clean this house! Luckily, I have plenty of time to do it! lol.

Sounds like alot of fun! I want to teach snorkling all day!! So jealous!! Lol. Good luck w/ the interviews!! I really hope you have better luck w/ the job market than I have been having. = )

Haha it was really fun :) thanks! Oh no, are you having trouble? I'm sorry to hear that. It is looking pretty bleak for me too. The two interviews I got are for companies in towns at least 45 minutes from where I live. There are NO jobs here. It sucks :( I hope your search picks up soon!

I feel ya! Back in March I increased my search to areas up to 2 hrs away. Nada! On Sept 2, I'll have been unemployed for a year. It's ridiculous b/c I can't even get a minimum wage job at a fast food place. But I just keep going hoping things will turn around eventually & find ways to make the situation I'm in work as well as it possibly can.

Scout camp sounds like a lot of fun - and good exercise. I hope you get something from your interviews. It's tough to be out of work. I've been there before.

You have my sympathies on the unemployment. I just went back to work three weeks ago but before that I was out for 10 months (a year if you count the really short temp job I had). It's a really hard thing to deal with and after a while the boredom gets to you.
Good luck with the interviews and I think you're doing the right thing trying to stay busy and do different things (like help with scout camp). I started volunteering at a local theater during my stint of unemployment and loved it so much that I'm still going to do it.

It is a tough situation :( Thanks for the support though, guys, it means a lot! Evil Angel Shay I hope you can find something close to home! That would be a major pain in the ass to have a 4 hour commute every day! Thanks runesinger, I really hope I get the one I have for a psychiatric technician position :) suechru I'm glad you finally found something! I know about the boredom thing, I have only been unemployed for 2 weeks and I am already getting stir crazy lol
