had a much better day today for food and exercises. I'm solo parenting this week, so I can't really run out to the gym during the day, but I have done a lot of walking with the kids (pulling the wagon or pushing a bicycle, etc.) and did really well on food.
Last week we made a bunch of spaghetti sauce from our tomatoes and zucchini and basil in our garden, so tonight I cooked a spaghetti squash and had it with the sauce and some grilled chicken. I hadn't tried to spag. squash before and was actually pretty impressed! It's kind of like the cauliflower 'mashed potatoes' recipe from the SB book. You don't *really* think you're eating mashed potatoes, but it's a passable substitute. The squash worked that way too-- acted as pasta-shaped thing to put the sauce on.
Kids are bubbly in the bath tub right now, gotta get them to bed so I can have some time to myself! I've said this before, but I don't know how single parents ever get anything done. I find them very impressive. :)
