This is an exciting weight loss for me! Generally I am pleased with a 1 to 1.5 pound loss. This one is 2.4 pound loss. Very exciting in and of itself.

The difference today is that I was in Edmonton for 3 days where I ate a lot. I had the idea I would eat in moderation. I didn't. Especially on one particular night. I came home to a 2.4 pound gain. Then the whole week I tried to compensate for the higher calorie days which were a total of 4 days over the window, 1 day in the window and 3 days under the window.

When the dust cleared I averaged 13 calories per day over the window. All things considered not too bad. Under these circumstances I did not expect such a substantial weight loss. Including the gain I lost nearly 5 pounds.

I truly am not sure why I was as successful as I was. I weigh myself daily and record weekly. I had a quick loss when I first went back to normal eating and then steadily lost from there so it was not an anomaly this morning. I am not going to look this particular gift horse in the mouth... I am just going to be thrilled!

Tonight my family and I are going to a local theatre production of "A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder". It is a comedy with one of the leads being played by a friend. Beforehand we are going to our local sushi restaurant so it will be a nice night out.

The renos are done! I have included 4 pictures to give you an idea. Basically my entire main floor was renoed. The laundry room was brought upstairs. The picture shows some of the things my husband built that were re-purposed in the laundry area. The flooring is all new.

Clairsheart, I live in northern Alberta in Canada. I am out in the country with my nearest neighbours a mile away. The window seat was made by a couple of cabinet maker friends of ours. Lovely place to hang out. Glad you like the couch Mrssetters! It is super comfortable.

I love that couch too! Love the renovations. You must be so relieved that they are over. The stained glass window is such a creative and beautiful part of it. Congrats on the green line and loss. All of the good work caught up with you even if you were over your calorie goal for a few days. :0)

Thanks Binky! I am pleased to 'move' back into my home. I have 10 pictures up on the walls. Now I have many family pictures that I want to hang in my study. I haven't decided how I am approaching that just yet. Maybe getting the same style frames for all the different sizes and shapes so there is some continuity. Calorie piece was gratifying.
