Peeperjj bragging on their hens made me want to brag on mine! Started laying early this year also, and normally they start off small-medium eggs but not mine, mine went for large-xlarge lol. Little girls putting in a lot of work. Also, just look at that color! So rich!

Mmm love fresh eggs. Don’t have any hens of my own but live in rural Georgia in a farming community. I can’t wait to start seeing the fresh eggs signs in people yards!

Wow! Nice size and color to them! People around us sell them for $2.50-$4 per dozen. We don’t sell ours anymore as we feed a pellet feed, corn, hen scratch and oyster shells and it costs us like $3.50 a dozen. But the feed means they have darker more flavorful yolks and a nice hard shell.

I feed mine corn, hen scratch, and oyster shells. Nothing like a dark orange yolk!

$7 dozen here. But they’re hipster chickens and the attitude is everything. 😉

Mine think they are cats. You yell ‘here kitty kitty’ and they run to their gate (they have a big fenced in area next to their coop) and hope to be fed more lol. We have a yard chicken that flies out and walks up and down our porch with the cats. She’s trying to teach her sisters how to get out. Every now and then another gets out with her.

You guys are making me want to get some chickens. Most of my neighbors have them. Can’t see them as we live on big lots in the woods but I hear the rosters. They would be a nice addition. I do a vegetable garden, have berry bushes, and some fruit trees.
