I have the hardest time controlling what I eat. If I am too hungry I want the quickest fast food restaurant there especially if I am on a lunch break and haven't brought lunch. I love to say "well the gym is not the problem I go and I workout" Though this is true a hard workout in the morning mixed with healthy and not so healthy foods all day is not the best recipe for weight loss. How do I tell my palate that the little Debbie cake I want will put at least two pounds on me once I choke it down. Also that piece of fried chicken, pulled pork or hush puppy will stick with for a few days and raise my blood pressure oh yeah and put me in a coma as well. I don't know bout other people but this is my fight each day and some days I resist but a whole lot of others I give in to the palate and temptation.

I think just about all of us who are overweight fight this fight. I saw this on the Weight Watchers board. Someone said "when the pain of being overweight outweighs the immediate gratification of food, you will be ready to lose weight. So basically it's a choice. It's also a behavior. It can be changed. Check out a book on amazon called "Becks Diet Soltution". It's about changing the way we think about food and our behaviors. Also, check your local library. Read the reviews and see if it's something that might help you.
