The Beginings of the ZOMG Weight loss Blog.

To help me stay motivated I am going to do projects and blog more actively with video too. So maybe I'll become a web celeb one day with my fabulous blog and self created diet people will want to try for themselves.

To start this off I went to the doctor yesterday.

You know..."Before you start a weight loss program, consult with a doctor." We hear that all the time but I think this is the first time I have actually actively done so for only this purpose. She called me that night with the results of the blood test.

MY HEALTH SNAPSHOT:

Weight: 304 pounds-> Morbidly obese at around 43.61 BMI The website I found this on says my ideal weight is 151 pounds. Really? I never weighed so little. Well maybe when I was like 13 or something...but I was overweight then too.

Blood Pressure: 118/70...That's in the normal range.

Cholesterol: 183 total...is in a desirable range. LBL (the bad kind) is 96 and also in the desireable range but only just. She said my Triglycerides were high though but should go down with proper diet.

Blood sugar: Normal. I am not a diabetic.

Exercise: Currently I am getting none. She said everyone should exercise about half hour a day and I should start with that. Those who want to loose weight should exercise an hour a day. I plan to do this with walking and the Wii Fit I got for my birthday back in July.

My personal health goals: Loose fat. Lower Triglycerides. Take in more fiber. Take in more vitamins and Omega 3 to help improve heart health and decrease my chances of getting Alzheimers.

I am pretty surprized my blood pressure and cholesterol are doing as well as they are. I really feel blessed (a word I certainly don't use often) to have this healthy body and so many good genes from my fathers side of the family.

My doctors name is Dr.Manlove, it was my first time seeing her and she is super nice. I am due back in exactally 3 months for a physical to see how I am progressing.
