I have been counting calories since Jan 1 in a sort of ramp-up to the Tax Season Slim Down Challenge I joined that starts tomorrow, and I have to say that in just 2 weeks my skin looks incredible! Better than it has looked in 2 years. My ob-gyn had asked for me to lose weight in an effort to naturally reduce the amount of testosterone in my system (which was causing my acne and a myriad of other issues). I have only lost a couple of pounds thus far, but the change in how I feel and my skin is enough to keep me motivated, at least for now! Also, went food shopping yesterday and had ZERO craving for salty snacks...and it has been a LONG time since I could bypass the potato chip aisle!!

Do you have PCOS by chance? I have that and have had acne problems, fertility issues and too much testosterone in my body. Other than when I am on my period I too have noticed a vast improvement in craving issues. My addiction is chocolate, I would have to have that then something salty as well and I haven't had any cravings since I started this on the 1st, except for this week due to aunt flo, lol. Keep up the good work!!

I thought that I may have PCOS--I have two friends who do and thought, this MUST be my problem. Went to the GYN and she said my ovaries are fine. She said that testosterone levels increase with weight gain and thinks that may be the culprit. I have never been this heavy, so I don't have a good point of comparison. Maybe I never had acne before because I was thin? Who knows?? All I know is, it is ONE MORE reason why this weight MUST go.
How is your PCOS? My one friend has it completely under control through changes in her lifestyle and diet, and my other friend really struggles with her meds and does not so well...
