doublecheese's Notizen, 13 Jan 14

Okay, no, I changed my mind. It's nearly impossible to stay under 10 grams of saturated fats a day! I really tried to watch my satfat intake today and I had 18.42 grams today.

So what fats did I eat? (not everything I ate, just the foods with some fat in them)

breakfast
- 17 g milk in my coffee (0.11 g satfat)
- 125 g greek yogurt (7.8 g satfat)
- 10 g peanut butter (1.03 g satfat)
(I like greek yogurt with peanut butter and cinnamon, I know it sounds gross but it's actually ok haha)

lunch
- 150 g chicken breast (3.26 g)

dinner
- 1 egg (1.36 g)
- 1 tbsp olive oil (1.86 g)

snacks
- peanuts (1.72 g)
- peanut butter (1.28 g)

Okay I know, I eat too much peanuts and peanut butter (but I think it's the same amount of peanut butter you'd eat if you had 2 slices of bread with peanut butter so meh).

But I think it's really hard to keep your saturated fat intake under 7% of your calories.

By the way, Euheide, I bought some cans of fish! And I hope they're low in mercury but I'm not sure haha. (salmon, mackerel and sardines)

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks this way! BTW - hope you worked some veggies in there somewhere?

Uau! I didn't know greek yogurt had so much saturated fat! But I really get what you say. For me, at least calorie counting for now is enough heheh.

BuffyBear 90% of my dinner consisted of veggies! Also had some fruit as a snack. Don't worry haha it's just the meat, nuts, oil and dairy

I've noticed the lower the fat the higher the sugar is in some things. So not sure whays worse drink full cream milk and havr more fat or drink the skim that has more sugar!

I could NEVER go that low. :) I don't even track saturated fat.

I think we can all agree on that Kingkeld (not being able to go that low) heheh :)

That's interesting Ninaj. They probably use those as addicting substances in food. In breakfast cereals, for example, they do the same but instead of fat VS sugar, it's salt VS sugar (that's what I read, at least).

I'm not going to track my saturated fat anymore, it was just for this one day to check if it was possible. :P And indeed Ninaj/Euheide - but I'd rather have fats that are naturally in my food than added sugars or artificial sweeteners

that makes sense! I agree heheh.
