Sarah, didn’t catch this one, but I’m hoping to do some fishing soon. I live about an hour away from Galveston bay (Texas), so speckled trout, redfish, flounder and snapper will be gracing my table this summer.

So you are by the Gulf of Mexico. I vacation in South West Florida and those fish you mention are readily available at markets and restaurants. Many years ago a friend gave me a 2/3 lb lake trout. I have been wanting another one but have never seen any for sale anywhere. They are available on the internet but tthat feels a little sketchy to me. Do you have any experience with ordering from the internet? I predominantly eat fish for my protein.

Sarah, the only fish I ever bought online was smoked salmon, it’s vacuum sealed and safe. You can always ask the manager of the seafood department they may be able to get something different from their supplier. Variety is the spice of life.
