Here is a question for all of you out there...
Why does time seem to go so fast when you sleep? or when you want to sleep a few more minutes? Then while you are working then it seems to go at a snails pace? Just one of those "why" moments for me...

Interesting question. I guess time goes slow when we are doing something we don't like and would rather be doing something else. A similar thing happened to me yesterday on the treadmill. I was walking. Got to the 1/2 mile mark and saw it took 10ish minutes. Told myself I was walking a mile and had to convince myself it was ONLY another 10ish minutes then I could go on and do other things. But that seemed a VERY long 10ish minutes for sure. And I knew in reality it was very brief.

It isn't that I don't enjoy work...just seems like time goes slower when you are awake then when you are sleeping. Seems weird to me. I guess it is when you are enjoying yourself that it seems to go faster. One of the great mysteries in life I guess.

Seems to me that when you're sleeping you're not thinking about time....you're asleep until you wake up and then it's (hopefully) the next day or several hours have passed. Now when it's time to sleep and you can't, just toss and turn...that's when time really moves slow. :)

Some would call me crazy - but I think perhaps time operates within a spectrum - like light. It somehow varies depending on conditions. But I'm probably just nuts . . .lol.

The busier you are the faster time goes, but if you are not that busy then it does go really slow. Great question, makes you wonder. I hope you have a great weekend.

When you're busy you are not paying attention to the clock so it "goes" by faster. When you're sleeping you are obviously not paying attention to any clock unless you're dreaming. I know I have those mornings when I wake up and wonder where the night went. Unfortunately, I woke up at 3:30 this morning and tossed and turned trying to get my achy body comfortable. LOL

I've found time never moves faster than it does right after you have overslept... the bus it coming up the road and the kids don't have their shoes tied or backpacks ready... whew, that's when time really flies :-)

I can tell you that time passed like a whirlwind while I was off work... It feels as if it was only about a week yet it was 2.5 months. Crazy. i think it is because I enjoyed being off so much. I was happy and relaxed and felt productive and good about life. At work, I feel like I am just spinning my wheels, pushing paper from one place to another and there are so many things i would prefer to be doing. That is why it feels as if i spend all my time here. Just my theory though - it could be that the clock run differently :)O
