I am on a major journey this time around. I finally figured out what I had to do to keep weight off and be my best self. I'm awesome at losing weight but also great at gaining it back. It was like parting with an old friend but I had to give up drinking. This old pal brought me great joy in the moment but then stabbed me in the back every time. I just had to give it up, only caused me depression and derailed me from everything I worked so hard for every time I got healthy. I seriously had to mourn the loss of alcohol. It's been part of my lifestyle for years, but a toxic part. I am greater sober. I am an alcoholic, I will no longer use it for self medication. Dealing with feelings head on has been very enlightening and a learning experience that I am still learning from. I have been sober for almost 7 months now and down 35 lbs. On my way to my healthiest self ever :)
