Up early this morning. There is no wind and the weather is perfect for Kayaking. Might take off for a bit before anyone wakes up, or at least after dishes.. ha ha ha ... Yesterday was a great day and made me really hopeful. My husband and I had taken our daughter to a Wilderness walk. It was amazing.. She loved every bit of it. I did a lot of walking and drinking water.. I sure did have to use the restroom a lot..ha ha ha ..I got "again" a lot.. Yep, I would say.. Then off to the kayak shop that we saw on our way into town. I feel in love with the solstice GTS.. 17.7 ft.. MY dream is to go to the ocean in Alaska and kayak.. I have a friend up there with an invite.. I would like to get to my goal weight and then go.. That is what I am working for.. I am doing well now, however, I have some time to go, and I am ok with that.
My husband works away from home on the RR and when he comes home for some reason I just want to eat.. It's strange..We love and miss him very much, but at the same time have come accustumed to him not being here. Something that I just need to be watchful of.. It just might be that we are used to doing what we want when we want..Then he comes home and we are waiting for him or he makes comments because we are in his way(yet we don't have this problem when he is gone} LOL.. ha ha
Anyways.. We are suppose to go to his moms tomorrow..Hallie and I don't want to go because when hubby isn't around we are treated like a pleg, and told things like wait till hubby gets home..She never calls me to see whats going on, but waits for hubby to get home and then calls him and says what are you doing for the 4th. Really bugs me, but I just say if you want to go up there then we can go..Well, hubby told her that we are working on our weight and ways of eating. She then decided to make sloppy joes.. OI!!! So, what do I do? Take my own food, or just not eat? I have no clue what to do in this situation.. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.. Thanks

Or make a nice healthy dish for your family ... a salad or a vegetable dish (I love ratatouille), and have a little of her food and a LOT of yours

It can be hard with some people but I do take my own food and pick through theirs to see what I can eat. Some people get upset some are supportive. Most people usually have salad so thats good. But I went through yoyo dieting and going off my diet to suit other people at home and when I was a guest. I decided Im not doing it anymore. Maybe when I get to my goal I can be a little more flexible but I decided to it this time and if people are going to be upset let them! Just my opinion lol

I did end up taking my own food, and I got the response, "its the 4th" Just because its considered a holiday doesn't make it ok to stop eating what is right for me and start eating crap again.. That is not what I want.. ya, if i were a weak minded person. I could have said oh yeah, its all good, Ill pick up again tomorrow.. Uh, NO!!! That is sooo not me.. I am dedicated to this change.. If I would have done that I would have felt like all the work that I have done thus far would have been a waste of time and effort. I do not like wasting my time..
