I have to laugh at myself for trying to make a burrito with turkey meat and taco seasoning today. I thought it would be a healthy option... Worth a try.. but my guess is there are no Turkeys in Mexico or if they are they aren't eaten... for good reason... cause it wasn't very good. :0)

Curious why the ground turkey didn't work for you in the burrito. It is an excellent healthy option to ground beef and a very versatile substitute in many recipes. I use it all the time in tacos, burgers, chili, meatballs etc. It takes on all flavors wonderfully and maybe if you experiment with it some more you will take a liking to it.

you did use GROUND turkey right? I use it 100% of the time instead of beef and althought you have to be patient with it sometimes to let it fully cook and soften (otherwise you get chunks), it's great! Sorry to hear you didn't have a good experience with it. HealthyBabs is right it is an excellent healthy option!

Yes it was ground turkey, I guess I'm used to beef burritos. I eat seasoned turkey burgers and they are ok..I also use turkey in chilli and that is wonderful. Maybe it was the seasoning or that I have to get used to it.

With Ground turkey I find I have to over season it alot more - go spicier. Good try on making healthier choices, though. I find I become more creative....you will too.
