My scale just blew a spring. I now weigh 296lbs :) Anybody have any recommendations? It is such a crap shoot and being stuck with a limp scale is a real disappointment… I hear WW Weight Watchers are accurate and dependable, albeit more expensive than the others…. It is worth it if they perform…

I have to electric and one of them like WW but I don’t use it as to see % of body fat. I can see it in the mirror 😝 both of them showing the same weight so I don’t think it’s really matters. I bought mine in Costco

Thanks DreamGirl: I’m kind of partial to the WW too. I too am not interested in body fat. I am not sure the technology is there? I tried one out in HomeHardware and it was identical to my weight before I left the house (10minutes away). I had a CanTire scale, I forget the model, but every time I stepped on it, it was never the same within a couple or three pounds. That’s what I’m trying to avoid…

That’s ok. It’s not a real name anyway. I just checked and I actually have WW that I bought in Costco lol 😆 it’s accurate. I check in family dr office and my weight was that same

The only thing I would suggest is a “smart scale” that syncs to whatever app you like for simple tracking. Don’t spend extra on fat percentage, too inaccurate to be useful. Withings makes a nice product. I have a fitbit scale that I’ve had for years, and got free. Although, it’s the only product that has lasted beyond the warranty, so this may just be luck. Lots with good reviews on Amazon. London Drugs is another good place if that’s an option. Of course, Costco if that’s an option as well.

I too have the *hitbit scale, AVOID its inaccurate and useless unless you really need a record of your weight daily through the months/years. it has a BMI feature, which if people don't know, has too many variables to be measured accurately by low tech. it also had me weighing more than I actually do, any other scale was consistent, but not that one. it would give different readings eveytime I stepped on it. If you can't tell, not a fitbit fan in general. This is a person who has had 4 trackers, and 4 more for family members. Many broke or died, the app was glitchy and in the end they are glorified pedometers. Oh wait, what was the question again? 😀

Thanks gang for all of that… thanks for the warning, and as for the question? They always seem to be part of the next answer? I have a temporary, digital WW scale that is dead accurate. No frills. Just the numbers. So that’s an option. Still, I am curious to know what is out there that I might not have thought about… The smart scale is a cool idea :) DV
