STARTED AT 220 ON JULY 12, 2022 WHEN I HAD FULL HIP REPLACEMENT SURGERY. TODAY AM AT 150.0 AND HAVE BEEN STRUGGLING TO BREAK OUT OF THE 150’S. FIRST GOAL IS 145. SECOND GOAL IS 140 AND FINAL GOAL IS 135. IM BREAKING THESE LAST 15 POUNDS UP INTO SEGMENTS FOR MY SANITY 🤪. I PUT THIS WEIGHT ON OVER PAST 8 YEARS DUE TO PAIN AND IMMOBILITY AND MEDICATION FOR PULMONARY DISEASE. NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD BE ABLE TO GET THIS MUCH OF IT OFF AT ALMOST 60!!!! I JUST DISCOVERED FAT SECRET IN JANUARY AND WISH I HAD FOUND IT YEARS AGO. I READ A LOT OF OTHERS POSTS AND THEY ARE SO ENCOURAGING AND SOME ARE JUST DOWNRIGHT HILARIOUS! THANK YOU ALL IN THIS COMMUNITY AND WISH ME LUCK ON THIS LAST LEG OF THE JOURNEY (WHICH IS REALLY ONY THE BEGINNING OF THE REST THAT IS YET TO COME!)

Congratulations! I have been loosing since 2018. And fifties are hard to get out of. I had gotten to 146 last summer but has a huge family loss and grief caused me to gain some back. So back in the 150’s I am. And I’m almost 69.

I had no idea I would receive so many kind and motivating responses…thank you all very much again! Amd1996 yes calorie deficit is key. It’s sadly just the way math works right?!😂. Caraken I’m so sorry for your loss but love that you are only 9 years older than me and working on it too! It’s a lifelong commitment to be well. Oceanladyjulia thank you. We all have stories of how our health got sidelined. I’m very fortunate to have a supportive husband, doctor, surgeon and physical therapist. Again, thank all of you so much for the kindness.

Congratulations on your success! What helped me lose a lot of weight were periods of eating at maintenance after eating in a deficit for a while. When the weight loss stalled I ate at maintenance and let my body get used to its new lower weight ( usually a month or 2 ) then I would introduce a slight deficit again and the weight loss would continue. I didn’t lose 120 lbs overnight, it took about a year and a half 2 yrs, but it has remained off for close to 5 yrs now. I know everybody’s journey is different but I thought I would share my approach to periods of stalled weight loss. Hope this helps and once again great job!!! 😊
