Not worth the risk. Can you imagine the pain of those who loved him while we discuss if he was an idiot or not? Sorry to be blunt.

Yea after a certain age, the benefits outweighs the risks. Also those were the notables guys on that list. Plenty of young nobodies on it too, just not recognized

Super did u mean what you said? The benefits outweigh the risks?

Yes, after 50 for some who’s bodies that is in bad condition. It will improve their quality of life. Put back muscle mass on and enhance their livelihood

Hmmm never thought about that.

The benefits of TRT outweigh the risks...for guys who actually need it. Unfortunately, healthcare is a bit sexist when it comes to hormone replacement. Women get hormone medications much easier. Most men can't get replacement until they are under 300 (normal range for a 70y/o man).

Are we talking about testosterone or steroids? Maybe i missed something. Sorry im sick (yes yes feel bad for me😂). HRT has its own risks for women, cancer etc. Ive been on HRT for past 6 months very reluctantly i find it scary tho off right now due to pre-op instructions. If we are talking testosterone what are the risks for men for that? Other than the obvious. If we are talking steroids then i dont understand.

Well steroid is illegal testosterone and trt is the legal version that is monitors and dosage upon how the endocrinologist sees fit

I could be wrong but that’s my understanding of it lol

Ok I’m going to show my stupidity here and ask what’s TRT? Testosterone Replacement Therapy? I was medically diagnosed even before being here on FS and shoot up every week but it’s so controlled I couldn’t get more even if I wanted. Ya I guess that would be a PED as well. Duh. Well you know I never was the sharpest tool in the shed 😜. Hey, I’m a juicer! 😜

I was less than 200.

Yes, TRT is the same testosterone that every enhanced bodybuilder uses. They just use much higher amounts along with other PEDs. TRT clinics charge as much as $1k/mth in the US. That's why many drive to a pharmacy in Mexico or buy it online.

Ouch, under 200 is very low. What range are you at now?

My understanding of steroids is that they contain DHEA as well as androstenedione in addition to testosterone and other synthetic ingredients. I dont think it is the testosterone that is the danger (tho anything taken in high enough quantity may of course be) i think it is the synthetic components not found in nature. There is a real need in some folks, both men and women, to have to take testosterone as a “supplement”. It is necessary for both sexes. So are we using the term PED (which thanks super i had to look up—not penile enhancement you goofball) and TRT and anabolic steroids interchangeably? There is a definite distinction. I myself, post menopause, had zero detectable estrogen nor testosterone thus the HRT. It was definitely noticeable in the way i felt.

66 pack that is super low. If i remember 300 is the low low low side of what is normal in young men.

TRT is TRT unless you decide to go for a boost. At that time, it turns into a PED. PEDs are SARMS, peptides, insulin, AAS and anything that boosts performance. It is easy to cross the line when self injecting TRT. That's why they might be ending that option in the future.

@ UHDad the doc started looking around several years ago when I was feeling sluggish and was concerned with a slow resting HR often less than 50. I checked out ok at heart Dr but I have mild hypothyroidism as well so he started TRT. I actually take less than first prescribed to maintain in the 5-600 range. Resting HR these days is still about 52.
