Will have to Google IPL. It's good to know there is an effective Western treatment for age spots. I'm taking a "wait and see" stance. Since there are stories out there about autophagy clearing up scars, stretch marks, and skin tags, it's logical it would help with hyperpigmentation. If, not, I'm first in line once the scale hits 150 😄

Lady i would post the before and after pix but the healing process pic is pretty gross. I had no idea it worked so well. You do have to avoid the sun without sunscreen otherwise the pigmentation comes right back. The new skin is so soft tho🥰. My forehead has a lot of sun damage (they look like freckles) which im always able to cover up with makeup (i use Luminess air brush for that) but to go with no foundation and have pretty skin sounds awesome.

I have done them and love them. It gets ugly before it gets pretty but you’ll be surprised what lifts off your face.

I haven't done IPL yet but it's on my list. I do see an aesthetician though.😘😘

Spencer my face is pretty good but my chest had a lot of sun spots and they definitely are getting so much better. Provider said it doesnt help skin crepe but sure seems to have to me. Lady, it is a better reward than food for me. I used to reward myself with hot fudge sundaes for goals met but aesthetic rewards are better for me these days🥰😂

Diana, as i type this i just got back home from my 2nd IPL treatment (every 30 days for 3 months and go from there). My chest burns so much they sent me home with a laser cream after treatment and had me wrap my chest in Saran Wrap for next 48 hours. I look so funny!!!!! But the burning stopped almost immediately after that. Always thought i had a high pain threshold but the chest i-yi-yi. What’s the latest news on date for your repair?

Good to hear and yes the chest gets more sun damage than we realize. I got my hands done as well.
I agree with the rewards as we get older. I’m due for Botox soon😎

Spencer—see? It costs us so much more as we get older to try and look like we are younger😂. Hair color, Botox, fillers, in my case plastic surgery to repair obesity damage, new hips etc. it’s a wonder anyone can ever retire😂. My plastic surgeon suggested i try sculptra next time instead of fillers he thinks it will be a better result and longer lasting (because i lost so much weight in the face also). Not a replacement for Botox tho just for fillers.

Unless you are Swayneman's mom . . . but we are not all blessed with skin like that, are we? 😅

No, she had beautiful skin. My daughter is mixed so im hoping if she continues to take care of it she will also when she’s old but as for me, too much summer sun i have to pay the piper

Yes it does but it’s a good reward as we continue to take care of ourselves. My husband isn’t a fan but doesn’t complain. We work hard for what we have and feel we deserve what makes us feel good. I told him once I reach my goal and keep it maintained, the first thing I want and need to get done are my arms.

Ok, I'm an idiot. I googled IPL and it came up "Indian Premier League". I'm going to assume that isn't what we're talking about here, lol.

Spencer i dont know if you have seen my posts but i got my arms done at the end of July and am so very happy with the outcome. I posted before and after pics last month. Completely changed the way i wear clothes also. Instead of trying to cover up my arms i can now wear anything and not feel self conscious of all the loose skin.🥰. Good for you!!!

Carby, IPL is infrared pulsing light therapy. It targets age spots and sun damage (hyperpigmentation) and causes it to lighten up quite a bit or disappear entirely..

YOH, I’m happy you feel much better about It now. I know they’re gonna get worse once I reach goal so I have to be patient and just focus!

Spencer i did have a pretty good correction on first one. We will see what it is like by Xmas. Tech was suggesting i may need a total of 6 rounds but it’s $2000 for 3 rounds including hydroquinone lotion so im out after that. It is what it is. Yep stay focused. Most important thing is to heal from inside out. Regardless of loose skin you will feel so much better in day to day living.

Wow. What about purchasing one of those infrared pulsing lights for home use? I see one for $189. Haven't checked into what else is available. I need a lot of help!
