Back on the up and down train again…has anyone (calling all of us old people😂) but, has anyone here done IPL? For sun damage and age spots? I did one treatment last month and am blown away. 2nd one tomorrow and last one in a month. If i had ever lived in a sunny state and not worked a jillion hours a day i would be a little brown raisin but even so my chest sure got damaged with the rainy sun we get here. It’s expensive to be old😂😂😂

YOH… happy to hear you had a lot of movement and I found that it tightens the skin a little. I’ve had several and now get microdermabrasion facials every 4 weeks. I also found that perfect image skincare products are very good. My esthetician got me hooked on their products. Yes, we have to heal from the inside out to achieve what we want and need to. Nice chatting with you and I hope you get the results you looking for. Take care.

Snowwhite…be careful when doing something like that yourself. I’ve seen IPL facials gone wrong if you don’t go to a licensed professional.

OH oops, lol. Well seeing as I can compete with a vampire for first place in a "lightest complexion" competition, I don't think I have to worry about that.

I have a few dark spots on my face I'd like to fade. Surprisingly, my chest isn't bad considering all the tanning I did when I was younger. I just cover the facial spots with makeup when needed. I don't even wear makeup most days anymore. I read the treatments aren't long-term, so would need to be done again at some point. It's not in my budget, so I'll have to live with spots 😊

Never tried it. However, my arms and ears have damage from so many hours in the sun whether it was from the beach or from many golf for so many years. In addition, I've had some skin cancer on the top of head and ears, and have had a chunk taken out of my neck. My father was the same way, and he is 1/2 Norwegian. Guess that makes me 1/4 of that heritage. Guess we're very sensitive to the sun.

Snowy im one of those people who likes the professionals to do that kind of thing. Would not want to cause permanent damage to myself

Sherrye, it’s funny because my face just has a couple of faint sun spots which are completely invisible with makeup on but i like my face so i put my care there. On the other hand my hubs has commented for a few years about taking better care of my chest when out in the sun, which i didnt do and so i did the chest for him. It is much better tho and hes happy but honestly, he would be happy if i did neither too so thats not a big barometer

Bionici, i am 1/4 Swedish. My grandpa was a Swede. I tan really really well but i also have some mediterranean in me somewhere. I can be in the sun 30 minutes and look like i was out there for a few days. Took my 1/2 white 1/2 black child to the Bahamas when she was a little kid and i came back substantially darker than her. I joke that i am half black (which she is so that seems fair as she is my whole heart). It was not a good look on me. Glowing blue eyes, super dark tan and brownish blonde hair. Sounds good but didnt look so good.

I have done IPL and it definitely helps with age spots. I was impressed. When I go in for my yearly skin check I have them zap any age spots and freeze off skin tags and moles. My mom said to stay on top of them yearly and it helps. I don’t wear any foundation because of my workouts being at 4 pm so just eye makeup and cheek highlighter so I figure it is a break even on makeup vs. IPL.
