High cholesterol genetically. Does anyone else deal with this? Im at a healthy weight i eat a fairly healthy diet (Low cholesterol for sure). Have you been able to get it into the healthy range? I have had high cholesterol since i was a teenager. It just occurred to me someone else may have same issue but been able to lower it thru diet and if so what did you eat?

fritzy-i also grew up where there was usually red meat (sometimes pork or chicken) a starch usually potatoes and green vegetable of some type. And dessert twice a day. After lunch and after dinner but a normal portion. I was never overweight nor was my mom nor dad at that time but it was the 60’s and 70’s were activity was much higher than these days. When i was in my early 20’s i had a trainer that pushed fish and vegetables so did that for a long time while lifting but would still have the occasional beef and bacon. When i was 29 i saw an animal cruelty special which i wont go into detail about and that was the last time i ever knowingly had any animal product that came from a four legged animal (with the exception of bone broth 18 months ago which i had to gag down in efforts of higher protein low calorie help with sub 800 or so calorie diet—did that for 6 months). So for 31 years i have been a a quasi-vegetarian with the occasional chicken breast or piece of halibut but not frequently.. i sort of have to force myself to eat chicken as i feel close to the way i do about eating beef or pork. I dont have much processed food with the exception of protein powder in my muffins and the flour that goes into them. I could do better. I should do better. In light of losing my m.i.l. 2 weeks ago so unexpectedly i am re-evaluating doubling down on getting these numbers better. I had a calcium test last year on my heart and it was fine. So sorry you lost your mom at such a young age. Horrifying. Remember that old tv ad you are what you eat? Sure is true. Xoxo darlin. Hope you have a lovely Sunday.
