My nearly 85 year old uncle who I surprised with over 30 people hiding in my office as a surprise celebration of his life for him. Ive been planning this for six months. People and family came from California, Idaho, Hawaii, eastern Washington and more. He is a widower and the sweetest man and i wanted him to feel how loved he is. This was me telling him i had something in my office and wanted to know if he thought i should keep. He was overwhelmed. His daughter had come from Hawaii and he hasn’t seen her in over 3 years. I was asking him if he saw her. He was speechless for a minute. It was such an awesome weekend. 2 of my boy cousins and their combined 3 children (and one wife, the other wife stayed home) spent the weekend at our house and my heart has been filled as tho with a fabulous meal. Which, i must say, i had a lot of 🎂 cake. Important to note that normally we have these get together when someone significant has passed away. I wanted to change that. Sigh…now everyone has gone home and im worn out. Happy Easter all. God bless.

Buenita im not gonna lie i did get a tear or two in my eye when his daughter came out of the room. I had cousins of his he hadn’t seen in decades i believe from California as well as his cousin from eastern Washington. On the left is his youngest surviving sister and on the right is his baby brothers wife. They came from Idaho and eastern Washington to see him and told him they were going to come visit hubs and I. It was quite the planning extravaganza what with small children, school schedules, jobs and so on. Im really really happy it was such a lovely day. Happy Easter my sweet friend

Awwww this is such a beautiful thing to do. Yoh I think about the same thing like you said. So many of my family have not seen each other for years. I know when someone dies that’s significant, that will be when we all get together and that is shameful. You did the right thing and set an example for all of us to do the same somehow. I love your spirit and your heart you have for people. And animals haha. You’re a beautiful person. I love you. 💝💝💝💝

Diana he was so shocked he couldnt speak or react for a minute. It was awesome. I didnt think about having my aunt bring his epilepsy meds with him so he didnt get to stay but a few hours but much loved few hours. Everyone else stayed till around 8 or 9 with last person leaving at 10. So 8 hour party. Was perfect. So loved it
