Now that I am feeling better I systematically savaged my cupboards and fridge. Eat...wait...no still hungry...eat...wa-oops darn ate cookies without thinking...wait...still hungry...fish from kid's supper...yummm...all better.

I have a question Sunshine.....hope I am not stepping on toes here, but you show as being on Atkins diet, induction stage on your profile. Yet, you are consuming massive amounts of NET carbs... I am not criticizing at all, just wondering :)

Not at all, glad to explain! I don't know how to change my level to OWLS, but that is what I am on. The drop down menu thing changes it for me, but not others. Also OWLS is what I could accept and my physician and nutritionist and Colette on the other site said would be okay. Previously not eating enough carbs meant bad headaches, nausea, vertigo, shakes, inability to focus, spotty vision, tingly hands and feet, and misc other issues so "20g" per day was almost a deal breaker for me even trying the diet in any form. I have hypoglycemia and a few other issues so I am trying to ease into the low carb lifestyle. And truthfully 100g of carbs is the generally accepted lowest level for premium brain function so it's not really "massive". Usually I am closer to 60g. I also lost drastic weight and then got really ill, so I just ate whatever my body wanted until it calmed down again and I stopped feeling like I was going to pass out or die of coughing convulsions. My illness wasn't directly diet related, however I realised that I had shocked my system a bit and wanted to let it calm down again. I'm not over weight (by body fat is around 22%) so this is more about getting me healthy than losing weight. Once I am healthy and find a good balance then I'll worry about the carb count and being stricter. Also I didn't mean to eat the cookies. They were in my mouth before I even though about it, and even after this I still lost another half pound. So I think I need to add more fat or something to up the calories =( I also wouldn't dream of blaming any issues I have gaining/losing weight or raising/lowering my blood sugar on Atkins since I am deviating somedays beyond the bounds of creative interpretation. Anyways, not offended at all. Anytime you want to ask about something I do/post/say feel free! It doesn't bother me.

Oh, and anything before the 27th/28th isn't "Atkins".

LOL, I am glad you are feeling better. Thanks for not taking offence cause I sure did not mean any. I had to laugh thou, I have found time that certain foods have found their way into my mouth too before I even thought about it. I think you are doing great, and the fact that despite being ill you are still hanging in there speaks volume. It is that Canadian toughness :)
