I've decided to stay in phase 1 for another week or so, it seems to be going pretty well. I'm glad to be down another couple of pounds. As someone who has never really dieted before, it's pretty amazing to see the weight come off like this! I suspect that this is the easiest weight to lose and it gets harder after this.
I have followed the diet fairly well, had a few carbs over the past few days (4 strawberries on mother's day, and part of a piece of bread with dinner tonight). Not major sins, but I still am reluctant to move to phase 2 yet.
Working out is still going well. Only twice a week, though, which I plan to increase next week after the craziness in my work settles down a bit. Thanks all for the motivating examples of exercise routines!
