That's a tough situation. Our children already know this type of situation won't be happening unless it is an emergency and we mean emergency AND temporary.

Wow, now I understand your stresses. You must be on pins and needles. lol Hope that works for everyone. You are confronted with a problem of most people we know. Full nest syndrome! lol

Wish you the very best Sarah; that's a long time to child and family back in your house. My husband and I were lucky; our daughter and grandson were with us for a year. She help with the food and phone bills which we appreciated. She and her 2nd husband have been married for 12 years now. He's a great guy whose helped with our grandson's college bills.  

The "Offer" has been accepted on DD house. Worse case scenario is 90 days. They will be busy and enthusiastic throughout the holidays. The NO VACANCY sign is going up. Thanks for all your support. I seem to have recovered my center of gravity and WOE is back on track.  

Congratulations. Sarah -- there is a Shalom Aleichem story about a family whose house is too small for their growing family. The desperate wife sends her husband to see the rabbi to ask for advice. The rabbi says: Bring in the goat. The husband is a little put off, but he trusts the rabbi, so he brings in the goat. Now things are even worse, and the wife tells her husband -- You'll have to go back to the rabbi again for advice. So he does. Now the rabbi says to him: Bring in the cow. The husband tries to protest but the rabbi is insistent, so the husband goes home and, over the wife's protests, brings in the cow. Of course things go from bad to worse, and within in days the husband is back at the rabbi's for more advice. Now the rabbi says: Bring in the chickens. The husband is horrified, but the rabbi is the spiritual and intellectual leader of the village, so the husband goes home and brings in the chickens. Now things are really terrible, and the wife begs her husband to go back to the rabbi and find a solution. The husband goes to the rabbi and tells him their terrible plights, and the rabbi says: Take all the animals out of the house and put them back in the yard. The husband happily complies with these instructions, and they all live happily ever after in their newly-roomy house! 

I had the same situation 2 adults 2 grandbabies 2 cats 2 dogs ...my husband my. Youngest daughter and myself for 3 yrs they moved out 1 1/2. Yrs now and she is asking to come back because she wants to go back to school and her husband 2 smh ...nope sorry not again...i feel your pain.....but also your relieve
