So I've got a fractured navicular bone in my left foot. This means no running for at least 6 weeks. I HAVE to exercise or I know I'll put on weight...for some reason I'm having trouble limiting my calories. I really want to stay around the 1200 mark, but I think I'm eating because I'm bored (since I would normally be running instead).
The doctor said I can try the stationary bike, but if my foot starts hurting I have to stop. This morning it was hurting more than previous days so I'm nervous that even walking on it is not helping it heal. I might have to go into a cast. I also can't do my 5K race in March now...very bummed out and trying not to emotionally eat as well.

I hear you! It's hard when it's your foot. Hang in there. I have been using the stationary bike at my gym, and by God, I get a sweat going like on no other machine. Had no idea how much you can get your heart rate going. Take care!

How's your foot doing? Find some good exercises, or are you just kinda stuck?
