I'm having a lovely birthday weekend with family, no birthday cake needed! A friend even figured out how to put a candle on a bowl of dip surrounded by veggies! It's nice to get support. Tonight a Potomac river tour with daughter's family, followed by dinner on the water. Eating out is no problem any more. I really know what to order.

So, I'm a slow loser, about 25 lbs since mid-January. A lot of LCHF/Keto followers can lose much faster than I do, but even a not-so-strict follower can benefit. It really takes a lot of study to get it right, and then it takes trial and error to figure out your own body's unique needs. I quickly got my diabetic numbers under tight control, which was my first goal. Calories are no longer a problem. When I bother to check them I find they're almost always below my daily goal. I'm more than satisfied with this kind of diet, and it has become my way of eating.
