I honestly have no sweet clue where to start, I’m a mother of 3 kids and working full time and most nights it is quick and easy meals :( I need the motivation to get up and go

There are lots of people on different diets here - "calories in, calories out", "keto", "fasting", "intermittent fasting", etc. Ask and you'll probably get twenty different answers, at least! Probably the best thing to do is read through various journals, especially the ones of successful dieters, and see which diet will suit your lifestyle and your tastes in food. You've made a good start by logging your food - keep that up and you'll soon see results. Good luck!

the first step you took was finding this site..now like anything its a matter of deciding...how to get healthy once again...as doobrie says...most everyone here is here for same reason..to get healthy an most will help you all they can...log the food that you put in your mouth..an forgive yourself when you mess up ...tracking food is one of best things you can learn to do...an read the labels...all kinds of stuff in food thats packaged...

Honestly, starting by logging everything you eat, WITHOUT trying to eat differently for at least a few weeks, will give you valuable information into your energy patterns and what already works for you. It takes a while to find one's way around the site and app, and to get into the habit of logging, and to look around at people whose successes you identify with. There is NO rush; it takes time to develop and adjust to a new WoE (way of eating) that will work for you long term. Logging is a tool for your own insight, not a restriction. There is so much support here, whatever WoE you choose.

Take it slow to start, I'll come. There is a ton of information and recipes on the internet. I started a low carb (diet) in early August and I'm down 23 lbs despite a few cheat days. (birthdays)
