Well, I broke the fast. It felt like the right thing to do for this old body. Don't chastise me for saying that; I am not 20 or even 40 anymore. I did make it to 28 hours without trouble. Then, I had free range eggs with some imported cheese and cabbage. After some more reading, it may be that best for me to keep my carbs below 10 grams per day. Some say that this will be enough of a fast for me to effectually lose weight. Passing menopause changes one's body on many levels, including how and where fat is stored or released.
