This is my own creation. 1 slice of Ezekial 4:9 bread, 1fried egg (sprinkled with flax seed), 1 slice of bacon and 1/2 tbsp butter. I also spread enough avocado to cover one side of the bread. Healthy carbs and healthy fats.

Nice! Have you tried "Bread Alone"? I love Ezekiel bread, but this one is even healthier and tastes so much better. I can't have Mayo sadly, but a friend of mine turned me on to soy-free "Veganease"- it's amazing. So good with avocado toast. Delicious!

I've not heard of Bread Alone. I'll have to see if I can find it around here and give it a try. Thanks!

Investigate flax. Some say it has chemicals that can stall a diet and may be not healthy.

What is Ezekiel 4:9 bread?

@Katrina Boyd Ezekiel 4:9 bread is sprouted grain bread, rather than flour. It has no preservatives in it, so it's kept in the freezer section of the grocery store and needs to be kept refrigerated at home. I usually toast it lightly to warm it up. It has a coarse texture, but I like that.

@isleham1 Thanks. I had never heard flax seed might be bad for you. After researching, I believe it is still beneficial for adding some good Omegas to one's diet. I don't use it in large quantities and I don't use it every day, so I think I'll be ok. I didn't find anything alarming in the reports I read, especially since flax is used in different forms. You do have to make sure to include it in your calorie count if you're counting calories, which I do.
