So, last night I met up with a classmate to study algebra. We got all but 2 problems completed, and one of them was just entirely too long to figure out how to factor and blah blah blah. I don't get algebra, I don't understand it, and people can say all they want that it's logical, and I will disagree. At no point is math logical, and especially when you throw the alphabet into it. That being said, I dreamed about Algebra last night, really. However, when I woke this morning, I think I figured out how to factor one of the problems.
I'm going to talk to my husband about us working on low carbs, high protein foods. He's retired, and where he can skip bread and white potatoes no worries, I have a hard time giving up those items. I used to eat all the brown breads, until one day, I just couldn't do it anymore. It got to the point to where every bite of brown bread I took felt and tasted like I was eating a sponge. Has anyone else ever noticed that the healthy foods cost way more than the non-healthy foods? And most times, the shelf live isn't near as long either. Just sad really.
I want to plant a garden, with some bell peppers, squash, zuchini and such. However, I have discovered about the only thing I can grow are hot peppers. And then only when our border collie was alive, apparently he went around several times a day and peed on them and that's why they grew. This last year when I planted the hot peppers, they didn't grow either. And yes, that was a little gross, sorry guys.
I got on the scales yesterday, didn't gain, didn't drop, but I'm ok with that. My blood sugar this morning was 128, down a little from yesterday. I'm ok with that too.
For lunch, I'm going to go for a walk. Didn't get to yesterday because it was raining. But I do try to walk for about 30 minutes while at lunch, most times I succeed. Does anyone here have a fitbit? If so, are you possibly interested in being fitbit buddies and doing challenges and such? I'm not really a competitive person, my husband is, but I'm not. But I'm willing to help others with meeting their challenges. It's kind of like Algebra, I don't understand it, but I can try to help others work the problems, and somehow or another, it helps me too.
Today's entry is a little scattered, but I'm feeling a little scattered, so I'll sign off now. Ya'll have a great day!
