I'm a 36 yr. old male living in Michigan with my lovely wife and best friend. I have been overweight for the past 26 years of my life. My very first diet I was on was the Cambridge diet. I was then in Weight Watchers at age 14. I was 19 and got a job at a grocery store and worked as a bagger and cart collector. I would eat fruit and vegetables. I also was exercising about 3 hours a day pushing carts. Over 6 months..I went from a size 42 waist to a 34 and felt great. It was the first time I ever felt so good. I was promoted to the bakery and started eating bad again,on my way to gaining it back. I did gain it, 8 years past and I started a new diet. I would eat Fruits, Veg's, Chicken, Fish. I went from 280lbs to 217-220lbs over 3 1/2 months while walking 6-8 miles a day. I would also use weights to build muscle off and on. I was again excited to be me and felt great. The sad thing is instead of the people that supported me through this time still helping me they brought my destruction. They would be like you have done so good and lost so much this piece of Pizza won't hurt you just eat it with me. Well needless to say one taste and a few upset stomachs later I was hooked again and gaining it all back. I went back up to about 290 and lost a few back down to 278 or so and hung at that weight for awhile. I then broke my ankle and became jobless and couch bound and over the last few years I have gained above and beyond what I ever thought I would. I hit the over 350 mark and I started feeling it just walking from the car to the house. I guess the moral of the story of the short version is if you want to lose weight eat healthy....Fruits, Vegetables,...Chicken, Fish, lean protiens, and get your body moving with some sort of exercise. The number one thing I left out of all the diets I have been on is to drink water...lots of it....not to much it can hurt you too.....This time I am focused and the desire is overwhleming to get fit for my myself and family.
