Heya! I'm Carrie Gara (fake name, haha), and like most other people, I joined this app to lose weight. I've been overweight for as long as I can remember, in fact, I don't think I ever really was in shape. But I came here to change that!

What has recently sparked my interest to lose weight is that I really want to join the army, and help by either being an engineer or a translator. In order to join, I need to be no more than 149 pounds by June 15, 2022. I started using this app on April 17, 2020 at 235lbs, and so far I've lost 10.5 pounds (Oct 6, 2020)! This and all of the other kind, supportive posts from other people's own weight loss journey has been inspiring me to continue and push through when I either gain weight or plateau.

What I've been trying recently is to eat around 1450-1600 calories everyday, and when I see an increase on the scale I tell myself that it's natural (something I've learned from others posting here!). This was proven to me when one day I was at 225.5 lbs, went to 227.5 lbs even though I had eaten well, then dropped back down to 225.5 then even further the next day to 224.5!

In order to reach my goal in time, I need to lose about four to five pounds a month!

Weight loss:

April 17 to April 30 --> -6 pounds (235 to 229)
May 1 to June 3 --> -6 pounds (229 to 223)
June 4 to September 8 --> +7 pounds (223 to 230)
September 9 to October 15 --> -5.5 pounds (230 to 224.5)
