The only positive thing I can say about today is that (1) I realized I should NOT wait until 12:30 to eat on a day when I've been up since 5 and (2) I did stay under my calorie limit, if not my carb limit. Ah, well.

It's kind of disheartening to lose 70 lbs and still be "the fat one." :( When you dress like a 350-lb person, it's not like anyone who sees you every day can see a difference between 352 and 282. I had my husband take some pictures this weekend, and to me, I can't see that much of a difference. I'm wearing smaller clothes, and I can tell the difference in my energy level. I know I'm getting smaller, but someone at work made a backhanded comment at me... I forget what started it, but I said that I was losing weight. I got that "up and down" look like "from where?" and they said, "Huh? Have you? Well, I haven't really been paying attention."
Enough to guarantee that I won't make the mistake of mentioning it for a few months. Still... it feels like I will have to lose it ALL before someone says, "Oh, you're not fat anymore." I'm in coastal California, so, you know, there's fat and not fat, and seemingly no in-between.

I'm going to start working out again tonight. My last workout was at the very beginning of August... that's embarrassing. I'm telling my husband that he's welcome to sit in one of the chairs by the door and read a book if he doesn't feel up to working out, but
I
am going... assuming work doesn't tell me to stay until 8PM again. :P
