Today I had lunch at a little vegetarian place near the office. I had 2 veggie tamales, and let me tell you.. they were delicious! I didn't know what to expect, since they make them with whole wheat, no oil, and well.. different of what I am used to. They were mushroom and nopal tamales! MMM!! they were really good. They tasted better than what I could imagine. And it's cheap: 60 mexican pesos (about 4.50 USD) for a complete meal: coffee/tea/water (I ask for water with lemon, unsweetened)+ soup of the day + beans + small simple salad + meal of the day (vegan).
Seriously, this place is going to make my healthy life SO much easier.

I was a good girl this week. I'm changing my eating habits and following a mainly pescetarian diet. I am not saying I AM pescetarian or that I will (at least not for now), but this week I had fish, shrimp and vegetarian meals most of the week, and only on sunday I had a bit of meat, and that was because we had pizza and my husband was in a crave of a meat lover pizza. But I don't feel guilty, or "failure", or "traitor" for eating meat when trying to go pescetarian, since I'm not doing it for the "label" but for a healthier diet, you know, less fat, with less toxins and hormones, and stuff.
When I started this week, I thought it would be difficult for me not to have red meat or poultry, but it wasn't that hard. I purchased 2 ebooks on amazon with easy, 30-minutes-or-less, vegetarian recipes, so I planned my meals and got ideas. I must admit, some of the ingredients are not easy to find since here in Mexico there is not much of a vegetarian culture. BUT on the other hand, I must say it is also an advantage to live in Mexico since there are a lot of organic ingredients, fruits, veggies, grains, etc.
I'm gonna keep this kind of diet, who knows... maybe I will change to a 100% pescetarian lifestyle, or even one day vegetarian, or even better: going completely vegan. That would be great.
I still haven't got back in my exercise routine, I hope I'll get back to it soon. I want to start slow, walking 20 minutes and a bit of exercises with dumbbells. Then I'll go back to swim, and then I'll dedicate more time.

I'm a weak, weak woman!
Today was going fine, until lunch hour. I had a salmon burger, some fries with my hubby, but the worst was.... A milkshake. Yes. Right after lunch i had this terrible craving for a chocolate shake. So, we went to Carls Jr and I sinned.
I regret it. Yes. But I am not going to punish myself aaaaall day long. I'll just learn from this, and try harder next time to fight the temptation.
This sucks.

Restart.
Ok, it's time to restart. I let this whole diet go down. I didn't exercise or eat very well these past months. I don't know, I guess I just got tired and then, the holidays came.. so it all went down.
I was in 108kg, and I gained back 5 kg. I don't feel that bad, because I am conscious of what I did, and what I didn't do. In fact, I was expecting to weight more. So... meh.
Ok. Here I am, restarting my path. Hope I do fine. At least I want to get below the 100's kg.

So I haven't been good. I haven't exercise because of my back pain, and this weekend I didn't eat properly because I was celebrating my anniversary with my hubby and didn't care about diets and exercise.
As a result, I gained weight.
*sigh*
But it's time to get back in track. Right now I'm having my breakfast burritos: whole wheat tortilla + egg whites + a bit of turkey sausage + a bit of veggies, with a coffee.
Today I'll go to the gym and exercise as much as I can, but carefully.
I hope I can lose at least 500gr until sunday weight-in!!
