Day 4 of Insanity - Cardio Recovery: done. While it was much easier than the other workouts, it gave my muscles a really good burn. Who ever thought deep squats & lunges would be part of a RECOVERY day? Well, I suppose that's why it works.
I woke up a lot less sore this morning. Having to get up for the morning pee didn't make me wanna cry. Granted, muscles are still sore, but I think they are starting to remember what exercise feels like.
I'm going to try to cut 100 extra calories today to make up for the lighter workout. From everything I've read, I can estimate today's workout at just under half of a normal routine.
On the to do list: buy a HRM for better calorie burning accuracy.

Day 3 of Insanity done and lived through. For awhile, I thought it might be easier than yesterday's routine. WRONG. Maybe someday I'll make it through ALL of the rotations of moving pushups without landing flat on my face. There's a new goal in the makings right there!
Made my bed again this morning - I know, how boring...but its a baby step toward better habits all the way around. While cooking my eggs, I did what few dishes were in the sink. While waiting for my peas in the microwave, I switched over the laundry & wiped down counters. I hope to get in at least 1 more 5 to 10 minute cleaning challenge above and beyond daily maintenance by the end of the day...yesterday it was the silverware drawer...perhaps today I'll organize the hall closet.
Tomorrow is Cardio Recovery, which is supposed to be a little easier. Somehow, I think Shaun T's version of easier is much different from mine. I'll take it if it means I get to go a day without any more pushups. Ouchie!

Havent visited this site in awhile. Time to get all things back on track - health, organization, finances, etc.
Started Insanity yesterday and completed my fit test. I can see I have a ways to go, but I got it done. Today was MUCH harder. Ab lunges kicked my tush, and I found myself face down, panting on the floor at least once...but I survived, and I'll survive again tomorrow.
I made my bed today. Usually, I'm a "what's the point" sort of girl, opting to straightening out the covers just before crawling in, but...today I fully made it - throw pillows and everything. I can say it put my entire day off to a different start. Small steps are the key.
Thanks to Unfuck Your Habitat (an app for iphone) for small motivations around the house. Sometimes its about those extra 5, 10, or 20 minutes rather than the serious house cleaning days.
Eating has been back on track since after Xmas, but just recently started recording again. I just wish my brain would allow me to focus a bit longer on things I deem important. The "oh look, a squirrel" phenomenon, while cute, is entirely unproductive.
Here's to one day at a time.

Its been rough recording everything lately. For the most part, I'm still well on track (and by now I have the foods memorized to reach my proper numbers), but I gotta work on writing it down again. Things get busy, and we go go go...only to dump me into a new week out of the habit.
Time to make some mental adjustments.
