Not too shabby for my first week! I actually love trying so many new foods that are pesticide free, GMO free, vegan, organic, etc...! I'm just experimenting with how "good" can I be with my food choices for myself and my family. Some days I'm vegetarian-ish and some days I'm vegan-ish, or somewhere thereabouts, if that makes sense. Not necessarily claiming to be any particular type of eater at this point, but just feeling my way about.
I can say I love how the juicing brings back such an energy to my day! I don't feel all puffy when I start my day with my juice. Yesterday my new masicating juicer arrived, 3 days ahead of schedule and $300 less than I would have paid if I waited to get the Omega kind I had planned to get. I read the reviews on the Wal-Mart Big Boss single gear masticating juicer to get that extra nutrient and enzyme enriched juice, and was impressed enough to buy it. Only $99! Same price as my tired old centrifugal juicer that wasted so much produce! Today we tried the new one and were amazed that we got our two full glasses of juice on barely one bowl of produce!. That will save us so much money for sure...
Speaking of, time to head to the farmer's market to get the huge bunches of kale and spinach they have - just 3 for $5 so pretty much a bargain around here.

Day 3 in the books! I haven't been on this site in so long that I'm finding my way around again. I'm already feeling a difference in my belly by eating right and clean for 3 days. Surprisingly I haven't been overly hungry, so I'm happy with that!

Ok so here we go again... The New Year's resolution had to align with payday so I could clear the cupboards and fridge and replace everything with healthy foods for our new adventure. We started educating ourselves (hubby and I) on the concept of "Clean Eating" and were amazed at what we have learned. We watched several documentaries on what is going on with the food in our country and we are determined to make better choices. I don't just want to lose weight anymore, but rather become truly healthy from the inside out! Wish me luck!

Slowly inching down that scale! Hawaii is only 36 days away and I would love to be 140 by then...fingers crossed!
