2814 Steps today: I walked 0.80 miles, and burned 108 calories.
So this is about the average day for me without the walk to work....which is what I am going to start next.
In addition to the workouts I have started with Yoga and stretching, I am going to integrate a walk to work. I live so close that I shouldn't be driving so it will be good for me to cash in the parking pass and walk daily. Besides, 15-20 mins at a faster pace will ramp up my overall activities. I want to get my cardio at a point that I can spend more than ten minutes a time on my Gazelle....and ultimately find my way back to the rink.
So...Breakfast then a brisk walk....baby stepping it all the way to my goal. Wish me luck!

For the first time in a long battle with my weight, I actually feel good about the changes I have made.
I made breakfast for myself on the weekend for the first time in probably 15 years. After sitting down for a long talk with Lisamac, she shared the structure of her days meals with me and I think that it really makes sense. In fact, when I finished my breakfast on Saturday, I was so excited and had so much energy that I went out for a walk to celebrate.
I feel really good. My goal is getting back to hockey so I can truly accelerate my weight loss. When I was playing (oh, 60 pounds ago...) I would easily maintain no matter what crap I ate...I am anxious to see how it goes when I am actually eating whole foods and a balanced diet.
I have been heavy my whole life, I have always been in "diet mode" so learning to eat more and eat healthy is a true challenge. I am so glad I have everyone hear to push me when I slow and I am happy to do the same for those that need it.
It is hard to let myself eat more now...I think I have been starving for years.
Thanks for your support everyone...lets hope I am in this good a moon after weigh in on Thursday!

Weighed in today...only lost .8, am a little discouraged but will keep at it.
I realize that I need to plan my meals to ensure I eat all my points.
Baby stepping to a better body and new lifestyle.
I really like what WW is doing for my friends too...lisamac is losing at a steady pace and I am so proud of her...am trying to model myself after a little bit as she has picked up some really great habits....the more support the better right?
