Thoughts on yesterday:
Okay, this might be a little TMI...where's that little blushing emoticon when I need it?! Ever since I've been working out, I've been feeling randy all the time! It's not a bad thing, just different. I practically jumped DH when he got home from work yesterday. Am I going crazy??

Anyway, yesterday for dinner I made the Turkey Parmesean from the SBD Cookbook. It was good...except for the sauce. I bought a sugar-free, carb-free, taste-free marinara sauce. Wait, I take that back. It did have taste- it tasted GROSS!! OMG! It tasted really vinegary and had a weird gritty texture to it. I tried to doctor it up by adding a little bit of Splenda and a can of diced tomatoes seasoned with basil and oregano. It made it edible. I think next time, I'll just make my own sauce...
Breakfast:
1 hard boiled egg

AM Snack:
30 Pistachio

Lunch:
Left overs from last night- I didn't finish my Turkey Parmesean.
"mashed potatoes"
Grilled Stuffed Tomato

PM Snack:
2 Celery sticks with hummus- ETA: had a couple slices of turkey instead.

Dinner:
SBD Burgers
Salad
I had a white bean, tomato, cucumber salad with red wine vinegar and evoo instead of burgers. too late to cook dinner


Water:
1 gal

Workout:
40 minutes on treadmill
10 minutes on stairmaster
some free weights

Thoughts on Yesterday:
DH and I talked yesterday and we decided on our workout schedule. Since we've been trying to eat dinner as a family, we're trying hard not to distrupt the work week. We'll only work out tuesdays and thursdays during the work week. Then saturdays and sundays. That way, we still have mon, wed, and fri to sit down at the table, relax and have our dinners instead of feeling rushed. I'm excited! DH and I haven't really done any kind of exercise in a LONG time! What's even better is that we signed up at a gym where our good friends work out at. They plan to go the same times we do so that we can all spend time together! It'll be a great motivator...he's a fireman so he can give us workout tips. :)

Oh!! Great news! Last night, while at the gym, I weighed myself. I lost 3 pounds my first week of Phase I! WOO HOO!! AND I didn't even have dessert last night because I was so happy...

Breakfast:
1 c of LF cottage cheese with some cherry tomatoes...was getting tired of eggs!

AM Snack:
30 Pistachio- didn't pack anything. This is all I have at work

Lunch:
Salad with grilled chicken
lemon juice and EVOO
(this is tenative. we're doing a team builder today with the managers so I might be eating out.)

PM Snack:
LF string cheese or celery with LF laughing cow cheese- ETA: Didn't have a PM snack
Dinner:
Turkey Parmesean (from the SBD Cookbook)
"Mashed Potatoes"
Grilled Stuffed Tomatoes (also from the SBD Cookbook)
pasta for DH and DD

Water:
3 qts

Thoughts on Yesterday:
When we went to McD's to celebrate DD's first day of school, I didn't follow the diet very well. I ordered the Southwest Chicken Salad with grilled chicken.. I probably should have gotten a regular garden salad because the SW one had tortilla chips (those darn tortilla chips!) and corn. I didn't bother to scrap them off. I had waited a really long time for my salad that I didn't care. I hope it didn't ruin anything...

I am meeting my friend at the gym after work today. I'm also scheduling a health assessment there for Saturday. They'll check my BMI, fat % and all that good stuff. The friend I am meeting, who is not overweight at all, said she was really depressed when she did hers. I'm not looking forward to it...

Breakfast:
1 hard boiled egg

AM Snack:
2 celery stalks with hummus (trying to cut back on the cheese)

Lunch
Chipolte's burrito bowl- lettuce, black beans, steak, salsa, cheese and guacamole. I probably shouldn't have had it with the guac...and should have asked if it was LF cheese, but I didn't. I only ate 1/2 of it though.
Diet Coke

PM Snack

Dinner:
Grilled Pepper Tuna steak
Chickpea Salad
Grilled Stuffed tomatoes

Workout:
30 minutes treadmill
20 minutes elliptical
15 minutes stairmaster

Thoughts on Yesterday:
It was a really weird day...its much easier to follow the plan when I'm at work or not running around doing errands. On "normal" days, I have breakfast around 6:30-7. AM snack at 9. Lunch at 11:30. PM snack around 2 or 3. Dinner before 7. Yesterday, we had breakfast around 8. Then we went grocery shopping and ran a couple other errands. We finally got home at 12 and I had plans to meet a friend at the gym at 12:30. I probably should have had my lunch since I usually have lunch at 11:30 but I wasn't hungry at all. I also thought it probably wouldn't be very good to eat very much right before I work out. I just had a celery stick with nothing on it and a huge glass of water. I went to the gym and worked my bum off!! It felt so good...I signed DH and I. For $5 more, we get 2 hours of child care a day for DD while we work out. I'm super excited! I did weigh myself while I was there but I'm afraid to make it my "official" weigh in (lost 2 lbs!). I'll wait til tomorrow since it will be 1 week since I started.

Today, was DD first day of kindergarten. I was so proud of her! She was so excited to be there. I, on the other hand, as a mess. I didn't cry when I dropped her off. We had about 30 minutes until the bell rang so she played with all the kids on the playground. We walked over to the line we were suppose to meet her kindergarten teacher. DD was like "Okay, bye mama!" I gave her a big hug and kiss and told her to listen to the teacher. Then, I walked around the corner and peeked in on them until they walked to their classroom. I started to get the big lump in my throat- which means I was about to cry! I made it to my car without crying but as soon as I called DH to tell him I just dropped her off, I did. WAAAHH! I can't wait to pick her up this afternoon to hear all about it...

Breakfast:
2 muffin quiche things (recipe in SBD book)

AM Snack:

2 celery sticks, one with LF Laughing cow cheese. the other, without. W/o the cheese was pretty gross. The celery had a bitter taste to it. I don't know if I didn't wash it off good enough.

Lunch:

Salad with grilled chicken and the olive/tomato salsa from saturday night's dinner

PM Snack:
30 Pistachio- ETA: I didn't eat my PM snack.

Dinner:
Thinking of taking DD to Chik-Fil-A as a treat for her first day of school (its her fave place to eat). I'll probably end up eating a chicken salad...again...
ETA: DD decided she wanted to do McD's. I had a Southwest Chicken Salad.
Workout:
Probably will just do some weights at home. Nothing big. Tomorrow will be meeting my friend again at the gym.
