I started dieting at the beginning of October 2017.  I weighed about 222 pounds then.  I tried to keep my calorie intake to about 1000 calories plus cream or milk for my coffee. I logged all my food on the Fat Secret app  I also took omega 3's and glucosamine.   I started drinking 2 glasses of water first thing every morning.
I started a bit of walking in January and more walking in April.  Also started 7 minute fitness in mid March and trying to get 10,000 steps a day in April.  By mothers day May 13, 2018, I was down to 170 pounds and felt great in size 14 skirts and jeans!!!
And now, wow I made it to my 160 pound goal today and I feel that is about perfect for me. I bought a pair of Jean's the other day and can you believe it they were just size 12's!

Congratulations!!! But 1000 cal is tooo low! Do you continue to eat for 1000 cal?

You are an inspiration SharonMWa. You have lost a lot of weight slowly so it'll stay off. If you're an older woman I think 1000 calories most days is plenty of food. The trick is in choosing foods packing the most nutrients and avoiding empty calories. Well done.

I am an older woman... 61. And my actual calorie intake is probably closer to 1200 if I counted my milk and cream for coffee and tea. I only eat healthy calories so I think I'm ok with that amount of food. Now that I'm at my healthy weight, I'll have to experiment a bit with my calorie intake...not 100% sure what to do.
