This is an exciting weigh in for me! First of all I dropped 1.5 pounds which is lovely after two weeks of a half pound each. That is exciting. Next I have lost weight every week since Sept 30. That is nice and consistent. I have lost 23 pounds in the last 17 weeks so an average of 1.4 pounds a week (including the two gains in the month of Sept that added up to 4.5 pounds!!) so I am well pleased with that. Finally I am in the next decade of numbers -- always exciting!

Yesterday I was an exercise queen. I did my morning hour routine and added an extra 20 min of strength training. Then I went for a lovely hour walk with my sister - some snow plunging and then found a road to walk on. Finally when I got back home I went Christmas tree searching. This entailed walking in my yard with snow up to my knees checking out the evergreens. It is more than that sounds as my land is 10 acres but I did not cover that much for sure but I did do some major criss crossing and climbing wire fences, checking in the forest area by the dugouts, etc. I did it. I found a tree. This is more exciting than it sounds as well. My husband normally does this job for the last 40 years but as he is sick I am taking on chores I don't usually do. So this job was new to me. My son will cut it down today and we will decorate later tonight or tomorrow when the grandkids come.

For Christmas supper I prepared the cranberry sauce, yam, and bread crumbs for stuffing. Today is turnip. Tomorrow is onions for stuffing and apple pie, pecan pie and pumpkin pie. Good thing my son is making his seafood extravaganza Monday night for the family.
