Haven’t been posting for a while. Been so busy! I’m in the middle of a bone broth fast. I usually do an extended water fast once a year just to detox and reset things, but I heard about bone broth fast and decided to try that instead. I like it, much easier! I didn’t really want to do this right now with just recently having tried that beef & butter fast, but I will be traveling soon, so it was now or never. As for the weight drop, I’ll regain approximately 1/2 back when I break and take back solid food. Benefits outweigh the sacrifice! I feel so great when it’s over energywise, aches & pains, skin & hair. It’s just something I really hate doing. So it will be over in a few days and I won’t think about for another year!

I see. How many days does your fast last. I have not fasted maybe one day if it works out.

The fast that I am on now is 10 days. I will only do that maybe once a year. Usually this time of year, because it’s usually icky out and a good time to hunker down & take it easy. A 1 to 3 day water fast is what I will do maybe 2 to 3 a year. Just depends how I feel. If I feel I am coming down with a cold sometimes I will try to do a short water fast. There’s a lot of benefits to fasting. Make sure you read up on it before trying it because breaking it can be tricky. Fermented food is a good way to break a fast. After breaking a fast, go real slow with adding solid food back because there is temptation to take back too much food too quickly. Hope that helps!

Yes!!! Thanks for sharing. I was thinking of a fast like 36 hours. 10 days.... my goodness, But good for you

I’ve been doing fasting for a long time. I had to build up to 10 days!

I do IF daily shortening my eating window to usually 6 to 9 hours. I thought I could work up to doing 6 regularly but then I lost my weight rather quickly so although I want the autophagy of IF, getting it slowly is okay with me. I give you a lot of credit, and you get the health benefits. I'm just taking the easy route, and it's working for me. Actually at 110/111 I don't think I could fast too long.
