Yesterday was cold and dreary. My plan was to IF until dinner time but came home at lunch to find partner making a humongous cheese omelet. I got out my avocados and fried them in butter & eggs. Drinking my tea after I wonder ed how often the weather has affected my eating. Do others find you want to go for comfort food on overcast days?

I too struggle in the winter to control my eating. I have never had to watch my weight, until I moved up north. I do much better in the summer. Unfortunately winter is about 7 months long here.

Definitely! Already, I feel the urge to hibernate, to stock up on canned beans & tomatoes and wish the winter away. I have forced myself out to walk the icy sidewalks on 2 days of early snowfall: I will be active this winter; no more hiding!

I think we are all affected by our environment. The day to day weather affects my moods and what food appeals to me. So much better if I have already decided ahead of time what I am eating although I have been known to change the plan mid stream usually around 'cold' vs 'warm' food. I also think occasions are a part of our environment which is why they can be hard to navigate - so holidays or special family celebrations. Another place where advance planning can save the day (mostly as unplanned stuff often happens on these days!!) I think being aware of this allows me to be a lot more proactive. Good for you to note your reactions to the weather. Another data gathering moment!
