lchristep's Notizen, 16 Mrz 13

No change. Doing cardio and weight lifting. Can't fit in my clothes. My husband and kids went to dinner at a restaurant tonight. I'm staying home because I can't fit in any of my clothes except for sweat pants. He says "I can't believe you are doing this to me?" What does that mean? My foot hurts from walking today. Tears. Sad. Hope tomorrow is better.

He's saying why are you punishing everyone because you are the one on the diet. I know it's hard, but you have to live while you lose. Which means sometimes going out to eat. You can learn to control yourself and make healthy choices while you are out. There's a book called "Becks Diet Solution" that is supposed to help with the way we think about food. Look at the reviews on amazon to see if it something that might help us. The way you feel about yourself can affect everyone in the house. Take a breath and realize that making changes is a lifetime commitment and it will take time to build new habits and lose the weight. Find a plan that allows you to eat balanced meals and enjoy nights out once and a while. If you do calories, you may need to play around with them. You might try doing lower calorie and more strict during the week and giving yourself more leeway on the weekends. Good luck~ You can do it.

Thanks for the comment. Turns out dear husband was a little concerned because I sent him out with 4 kids under 13! I struggle with social pressure to eat (think family dinners). Having the night off reduced my anxiety considerably. I'm also learning to "feel" my feelings without resorting to food to assuage them. Ciao!
