Feeling rather grumpy today. Yesterday we went to a local fruit and veg market. I bought the veg and salad food, whilst my better halt was tasked with buying some peaches and plums as he is moving over to OWL this week (he's been missing his fruit). He came back with 6 large pears, a lb of green grapes, a punnet of strawberries, AND of course the peaches and plums! Okay, no problem, when we got back home I wrote out the net carbs of each of the fruit and left it to him to choose his fruit. He now realises that having just one pear would have cost him his total carb for the day. The punnet of strawberries was a real temptation for me - I did have 4oz of strawbs and cream for my dinner. 2/3 hours later I tested and the stick said I was still in keytosis. This morning I lost half lb - yet John (who also had a peach) lost 2.5 lb...... mmmm. Onwards and upwards, although no harm done - today I am going to stick to my guns! Despite the Atkins book being left around the house, me going on about net carbs, I even read the chapter on OWL and Paula's article to John..... I will say in his defence, he is very motivated and so pleased the weight is dropping off.
