After several tries on the scale, this was the last and highest consistent reading this morning and is also the most realistic. I averaged around 1200 calories per day last week and budgeted for dinner out at a South American restaurant on Saturday. I ate less than half the meal and tried to estimate the portions of steak, rice, chorizo, beans, egg and fried plantain. Enjoyed every bite of the 1/4 avocado wedge! We had fried calamari as an appetizer and I counted how many pieces I had and made my husband save some to take home (he frowned at me but complied).
So I’ve lost 9.2 lbs in 6 weeks which seems reasonable enough to me, considering that I haven’t gotten back into any kind of regular exercise yet. Just trying to track everything and stay accountable here, take it one day at a time, get encouragement and inspiration from others and pass it on.
