I’m four short months from my 70th birthday. Metabolism is much slower than it once was, but I’ve stuck with this since January 2020, with .8 left in my 25# goal. Confession time: sometimes I fell off for a few days, but got back to the plan. The pandemic was actually a blessing in changing my eating habits since we weren’t going out to eat and socialize with friends. My grocery orders changed up from so much impulse junk food buying to healthy fresh choices to cook at home. A mostly mild winter allowed outdoor activity and walking. It has also taught me patience and perseverance. I’m looking forward to an Easter gathering with our kids and grands. The last time we were all together was January 2020 at our son’s funeral..😥 it will be a bittersweet time with lots of food choices so I’ll need your prayers. I’m not looking for pity, rather I’m just wanting to be an encourager to others. Don’t give up, slow loss is still loss and it will happen. When I reach my goal, I plan to continue with the same plan of eating fresh and making wiser choices and looking forward to the new adventures in my future. God bless you all and stay strong!

I totally agree! I’m looking forward to wowing my family when we get together for Mother’s day. All of us have or are getting the Covid vaccine. I can’t wait to be able to hug again. I haven’t told anyone that I’ve lost weight. It’s going to be fun! I’m a happier and healthier person now. What a difference a year makes!

May your son R.I.P. He is watching you from above and guarding you too. Beautiful words from a beautiful woman. My hubby's B'Day is in July too. My big sis and he have their B'days on the same days/different years. I fell in love w/him bc he reminded me sO much of my big sis. They are very alike in the way they think, their emotions, and their loving smiles. May God bless you in all that you do too...Amen O:-)
